  • Monday Morning Motivation

    Morning Lovelies,

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. So, I am back with this weeks Monday motivation quotes as part of the lovely Candid Cuddles Linky with Becky over at Cuddlefairy.com.

The thought behind my quote for this week is, quite obviously, have faith in yourself.

We all have those days when you’re feeling a bit meh and certainly as a Mum, you have moments when you doubt yourself.  It can be for so many different reasons; sometimes people tell you you should be doing things a certain way, or giving you advice that is actually damaging and not helpful. You might have a day, or night (!), where baby decides they are going to change the goalposts and become a little tinker for no apparent reason leaving you worrying “what have I done to make him/her behave so differently”. Or you might have a secret ambition, something you want to really want to do but you’re held back by the “What Ifs” floating around your head.

One thing I’ve learnt since becoming a Mummy and since starting my blog, is to trust your instinct. It’s amazing. You are the one who knows best for you and your baby. I have had lots of really good advice, particularly about Josh, and although I’ll always listen to it, if something is still troubling me I follow my gut instinct and do what I feel is best for Josh, and for me.

Because you’re got to have faith as yourself. Not just as a Mother, but as an individual. You know what is right for; you know the people to have around you who are a positive influence, you know the paths you want to take and the goals you want to achieve. Have faith in that and in where you aim to be; it’s the strongest faith you can have and it’s the emotion that’s going to help you get to where you want to be.

Some days can seem so much more difficult than others, whether you’re a stay at home mum, a working mum, a pregnant woman, or a working modern woman; we all have tired days, hormonal days, days where nothing, not even a kilo of chocolate, can cheer you up. But when you have those moments, remind yourself of those times when you’ve achieved something, no matter how small, that day. Remind yourself how you’ve coped with a stressful situation, or how you might have made someone’s day by doing something as simple as making them a cup of tea.

Have faith in yourself. You’re the one with the power to get to where you want to be. Whatever you want to  achieve this week, no matter how big or small, you can do it. You just need to keep reminding yourself of that.

    Have a great week xx
