I hope everyone has had a good weekend. The last week has really given me a lot to think about. I’ve been fortunate enough to do a Blogging Productivity course and one of the main messages from the course was considering if you want your blog to become a career or remain a hobby.
I can whole heartedly say I do want my blog to become a career. I love it; it’s my passion. And yes it’s a hobby in the sense that it’s something I really enjoy. But blogging has also made me see I am doing something I am good at, and could possibly make a success of.
I guess at this point it’s all about self belief. I don’t know how long it would take to make a real success out of it. But isn’t it lovely to think that whilst I am building it up, I’m doing something I really love, I really enjoy and, apparently, doing something that makes others smile and offers some encouragement (something some of you lovely lot have said to me, not me being big headed)! It makes me feel really lucky. If my husband hadn’t encouraged me to start a blog I wouldn’t be in this fortunate position, and looking to make a living (ok, a Mulberry bag fund – that’s the dream) from doing something I really love.
I know we don’t have control over every single thing in our lives, but we are fortunate enough to have control over a vast amount. We have our dreams, our hopes, our aspirations, and we should have faith in ourselves to make things happen and if you really want to make something happen for yourself then do what you can to make it happen. If you really want something, visualise it, see yourself doing it, achieving it, and that will boost you even more. Trust yourself, trust your gut instinct, trust that you can achieve what you desire.
What ever is playing on your mind that you’d love to do or achieve, don’t always dismiss it and put it down to a pipe dream. Cause you just never know. If you believe in you, then so will everyone else.
Have a good week beauts
