  • Mama & Baby Gift Guide!

    christmas-gift-guideHappy December Everyone!

I am totally jumping on the bandwagon and doing our own little Christmas gift.  Mine isn’t quite as fancy as many other dreamy ones I’ve read recently, but I have had some lovely ideas of my own and wanted to share them with you!

I’m going to start off with a couple of little treats for the babies in our lives!

First up is the Forever Friends Bedtime Lightshow bear. Josh absolutely loves this bear. He’s always been a big fan of white noise, and, like most babies, he adores anything that lights up! So this was a win win! I’ve had it sat in his room for the past couple of weeks and have been switching it on before naps to help him wind down as I am no longer feeding him before naps and it seems to be working wonders. There are two lullabies (Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Brahms Lullaby) which play softly along with the gentle light show and it is really soothing. Also part of the range is the Forever Friends snuggle blankie . Josh loved this because it is so soft and he is going through a real phase of wanting a comforter.  This would make a great gift for anyone who has a newborn baby – it’s so soft and cute!

bearAnother lovely gift idea for the little ones is this amazing In The Night Garden personalised book. These are available from Penwizard and they are just adorable. Anyone who reads my blog will know my child is somewhat obsessed with In The Night Garden, and seeing as I love to read to him it is the dream Christmas gift! I can’t wait to give this to him on Christmas morning. It has come completely personalised, and I know as he gets older and starts to understand more he will appreciate it even more.

Penwizard have kindly offered you lovely readers 20% off their entire personalised range of books until 18th December (final date for delivery before Christmas) so if you fancy treating your little ones check out the range here and enter code BBM20 at the checkout. You can thank me later!

itngNow lets be honest, we all know the little ones are going to get spoilt at Christmas! So what about us Mums; we’re tired, stressed, and in need of being spoilt!

I came across this jumper and literally fell in love; anyone who’s a Mum and loves Instagram will also fall in love with it and quite frankly, should purchase one immediately:

instamummyThis little beaut is from Gigi Loves Blake and I adore it. It’s soft, cosy and literally sums up any Mum who spends the end of her exhausting day of mumming scrolling through Instagram. There is a whole range that you can buy here. It really would be the perfect gift for any Mama (Husbands take note – she’d love you for this)!

Next up is a bit of pampering from a cult classic:

burt-beesI think it’s safe to say everyone loves a bit of Burt Bees. Personally I struggle to find any lip balm products that come close to how good it is! So these little stocking fillers are amazing. They contain one Vanilla Bean Lip Balm and one pot of Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream. These would make great little gifts for your fellow Mum friends who need a little pamper and luckily they don’t break the bank; they are just £5.99 and Burts Bees actually has free postage at the moment.

Another gorgeous Christmas product they have at the moment is Burts Bag of Treats. This is just gorgeous and again would make a very popular gift for any tired Mum who needs a long hot bath which actually lasts more than 23 minutes! In this little bag of goodies you will find a Beeswax Lip Balm with Peppermint, a Peach and Willow Bark Deep Pore Scrub,  Milk and Honey Body Lotion, and a sample of Intense Hydration Night Cream.

I can’t even begin to sing the praises of these products enough. They are all an absolute godsend for an frazzled Mum who wants to escape for some peace and quiet pampering in the bath with a bucks fizz on Boxing Day! The Deep Pore Scrub is insane – it is so good and smells lovely. My face felt super soft after using it and certainly looked less dull. I followed this with the night cream and felt like some sort of goddess rocking the natural look before bed (maybe that glass of wine in the bath wasn’t the best idea)! I adore the scent of the Milk and Honey body lotion – it’s really subtle and almost a comforting scent.

This little set is a bargain at £19.99 and the products go a long way so you don’t need to use too much, meaning they will last you well into the new year and beyond!

    Now, lets talk handbags!

hanbagI spotted this little gem in my beloved New Look. It was love at first sight what can I say, and obviously I had no choice but to treat myself. It’s Christmas after all! You can’t go wrong with a handbag at Christmas (or any other time of year, lets be honest) and the handbag collection in New Look this season is insane. The bags are beautiful and the selection is huge. I love New Look bags for their versatility and value! Mine was only £12.99 and I love the size as I don’t want to be lugging round anything too huge alongside my changing bag (having said that, Father Christmas if you’re reading you would make all my dreams come true if you sent me a Mulberry! Seriously – I’ve been so good this year).

My next little find, which I think all Mummies deserve and should have (God, I wish I could buy these for every single Mummy friend I have) is these amazing confidence cards, created by beautiful friend Ursula over at Mumbelievable. confidence-cardsI am obsessed with these cards and I literally love Ursula for creating them. We all have hard days, shitty days when we doubt ourselves. And having these as little reminders, or to send to our fellow Mummy friends to remind tem of what a good job they are doing, is the ultimate pick me up! They are an absolute bargain at £12.99 (and I can offer you a further 10% off using code MGF10 at the checkout). Any Mum would love these, send them to your friends and even to your own Mum to remind her of how amazing she is too!

My final Christmas gift tip is a little keepsake. If you’re a regular reader you will know that I love a quote; I love motivational words and positivity and I think it’s lovely to have things like this around the house:

I got this little beauty from Dunelm and it was only £1! These sorts of gifts are fantastic value and lovely gifts for friends who you want to buy a little something for without breaking the bank. Often us Mums have the unspoken rule of only buying for the kids once they come along, but when you’ve got special Mummy friends it’s nice to treat them to a little something too and remind them of how much you value their friendship. I find little thoughts like this are often the most special of gifts.

So there we have it – that’s my little Christmas gift guide. I hope you’ve enjoyed having a read and enjoy spoiling your loved ones (and yourself)!

    Merry Christmas my lovelies
