  • Monday Motivation – Cherish Every Day

    maryann-bbutton

    Morning Everyone,

Monday again! I wonder how many people will have a headache today from celebrating the Queens birthday.

So, onto my message for the week, which I hope will boost you all this Monday morning.  I have always been a strong believer in telling those who mean a lot to you that you love them. I never go to bed without telling Sam and Josh I love them, I never hang up the phone to my family without saying I love you and the same goes for my closest friends. It may sound almost morbid, but you don’t know what is around the corner and it’s so important that you let those you cherish know you love them.

Last Wednesday I woke up to a text from Sam. He had already left for work and it was about 7 when I woke to this message and the first sentence was “don’t panic but I’ve crashed my car”! I have no doubt anyone who recieves such a text does initially panic; you feel that horrible feeling in your stomach and you just want to hear that persons voice. I didn’t even read the rest of the text I just called Sam. Thankfully he answered straight away and was absolutely fine, although the same can’t be said for the car, or the deer he hit!!! He was more annoyed that his car was a write off!!

Obviously all I cared about was that Sam was OK and I gave him the biggest cuddle when he got home that night and cooked him his favourite dinner to cheer him up cause he was gutted about the car! But the one thing we both said was that all that matters is he was unhurt and safe and sound.  For that he and I felt lucky because it is a sad reality that not everyone has such lucky escapes.

And that is why I think it is so important to cherish every moment of your life and everyone in it. I’ve said this before, but it’s not a dress rehearsal. It’s a scary reality that we simply don’t know what is around the corner, good or bad. So value everything that you love and only surround yourself with positive people and energy.

    Lots of Love

I love this and am a firm believer of never going to bed on an argument or crossed words. #mg

So so true! I’m not a very expressive person but I totally agree with you on this one, cherish every moment because we never know things will suddenly happen out of our control and we end up regretting because it’s too late. Lovely post! #candidcuddles

Oh gosh, I’m so glad Sam is ok! What a scary thing for hi & you too. It is a shame about the car but you can always get another car, you can’t get another Sam. Your quotes are perfectly on point as always & a great reminder to show our love. Thank you for your ongoing support of #candidcuddles I look forward to your quotes every week! x

Absolutely agree – there are no guarantees. Here in the states we are mourning the day after a senseless mass shooting – I will never understand…thank you for your gentle reminder.
