  • What Made Us Happy This Week

    Hi Everyone,

So glad I am back to writing our happy weekly round ups as part of Sian and Katys wonderful Happy Days Linky

And what a week it’s been; a blimmin’ hot one!!

We’ve made the most of the gorgeous weather this week and been out for walks every day, sometimes twice. I live right near the Norfolk broads and we are so lucky there are some gorgeous places to walk here. I find a walk really clears your head as well. Josh has been a bit of a bugger this week with his teething so we’ve had some very early morning walks and it really does sort you out!

We’ve loved the sunshine but I can’t say we’ve loved the heat. As a first time Mum it’s just felt like yet another thing to worry about!!  Our house seems to hold the heat a lot and Josh’s gro egg went up to 27 degrees one night which freaked me out. I had him sleeping in just a nappy with a fan on him which seemed to help and as you can see we have come up with some inventive ways to keep Josh cool in the day:

In keeping with making the most of the weather we had a day at the beach too! Cromer is so lovely and we met up with some friends for an afternoon on the seafront. In an impromptu moment of genius all us Mummies decided to leave the kids with the Daddies for an hour and snuck off for a cheeky glass of prosecco!! It was such a treat.

We stayed at the family farm up in North Norfolk at the weekend too and everytime I go there I feel so blessed that we have somewhere so beautiful to retreat to whenever we like! Josh had me up early again on Saturday but look at the amazing view I was treated to; it’s so beautiful and it put me in such a positive and happy mood to start the day:

One more treat for the week and it was a big one! We got a new car! I love it – it’s a sensible family car but a VRS version so it’s a bit sporty, much to hubbys delight. It also has the biggest boot in the world which delighted this Mummy…. oh how our priorities have changed!

So all in all a good, sunny week. However it’s also been a week of thinking and prioritising. This is something I am going to write about in a seperate post but I’ve come to realise this:

Have a good week lovelies xx

Oh I love this post! What a lovely week for you. Your photos are stunning! What beautiful views. Congrats on the new car! And hurrah for the Prosecco! It is so important to have some time for yourself too. We also stripped our little one down to a nappy with a fan – it was so hot at the start of the week wasn’t it?! We live in Essex and have been meaning to do a trip to Norfolk for ages – it looks like we will in September now. It’s amazing that you can retreat there whenever! x #HappyDaysLinky

Definitely agree with that last quote – I realised that towards the end of last year and felt so much better after. Gosh you should see my family car- it is a total bus! Looking very longingly at yours haha!! Thank you for sharing in #HappyDaysLinky x
